Kristen Stewart On Being Asked Not To Hold Her Girlfriend’s Hand In Public, ‘That’s So F*cked Up’

Kristen Stewart was made to believe that her personal life could have repercussions on her career. She was advised to keep relationships under wraps and not be so forward with her girlfriend. “I have fully been told, ‘If you just like do yourself a favor, and don’t go out holding your girlfriend’s hand in public, you might get a Marvel movie,'” the actor revealed in an interview with the magazine Harper’s Bazaar UK.

Stewart looking back at suggestions like this made her decide which people from the industry she wanted to work with and which she didn’t. “I don’t want to work with people like that,” she said. “That's honestly SO f*cked up. It's basically 2020, for crying out loud!,” she added.

Known for her performance in the mega-successful vampire franchise, Twilight, Kristen would now be seen in the reboot of Charlie’s Angels. Apart from dating her Twilight co-star and teen sensation, Robert Pattinson, she has dated supermodel Stella Maxwell in the past and is currently in a relationship with screenwriter Dylan Meyer.

“When me and Rob (Pattinson) were together, we did not have an example to go by. So much was taken from us that, in trying to control one aspect, we were just like, ‘No, we will never talk about it. Never. Because it’s ours,'” she revealed while explaining why she never came out in the open about dating her Twilight co-star.
